Optimistic Voices at BAM

I have been working with Juliana May on her new piece Optimistic Voices, which premieres this November as part of the BAM Nextwave festival. This work is soooooo wonderfully strange and beautiful; intimate in ways you both crave and cannot stand. Juliana and the five dancers have been working intensively (rehearsing four days a week, no kidding) for months, and I am just floored by what they are undertaking. The show is November 5 - 8, so get your tickets today!

Collaboration with Ballez

During summer 2020 my life was saved by a series of improvisations with choreographer Katy Pyle, dancers Meg Harper and Charles Gowin, and flautist Claire Chase. We met in parks near my house in Crown Heights. This video premiered on October 8 with DANCE NOW.

New Pope

My group New Pope with Bobby Matador (Onieda/People of the North/Nurse and Soldier) released a tape this summer and played some great shows at Secret Project Robot (NYC), Gooski's (Pittsburgh), Comfort Station (Chicago), and Guide to Kulchur (Cleveland).
